Terms of Use

Effective from 6 August 2026. Operated by iConf.me.

These terms govern your use of iConf.me, operated by iConf.me. By creating an account you agree to them.

Accounts

  • You must give accurate details and confirm your email address before creating a conference.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. Tell us promptly at support@iconf.me if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • You must be legally capable of entering a contract and, where acting for an organisation, authorised to bind it.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload or publish. You grant us the licence needed to host, store, back up and display it for the purpose of operating the service — nothing more.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you publish, including images, logos and any personal data about speakers or delegates.

Acceptable use

You must not use the platform to:

  • Break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy.
  • Publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that misrepresents a conference's standing, accreditation or review process.
  • Impersonate another organisation, or register a web address in bad faith to trade on someone else's name.
  • Send unsolicited bulk email through the platform.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the system or to another customer's data, or to disrupt the service.
  • Upload malicious code.

Web addresses

Subdomains are allocated on request and remain ours. We may reclaim one that infringes a trade mark, was registered in bad faith, or belongs to a closed account. Certain names are reserved and cannot be allocated.

Delegate registration and payments

Where you collect registration fees, you are the merchant. You contract directly with your delegates and are responsible for delivering the conference, publishing your own refund terms, issuing receipts, and meeting the tax and consumer-protection obligations that apply to you.

We provide the software and pass payments through our provider. We are not a party to your agreement with a delegate.

Fees

Subscription fees, billing periods and what each plan includes are shown before purchase. We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes take effect at your next renewal. See the Refund Policy.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law. Where circumstances allow, we will give notice and an opportunity to put things right.

You may close your account at any time. On closure your websites stop being served, and your data is retained for 12 months before deletion or anonymisation, so that an account closed by mistake can be recovered. Export anything you need before closing.

We do not delete customer content immediately when a subscription lapses. Sites become read-only or are taken offline during a grace period first.

Service changes

The platform is under active development and features may be added, changed or withdrawn. We will not remove a feature you are relying on without reasonable notice.

Liability

See the Disclaimer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over disputes.

Changes to these terms

We will give notice of material changes by email or through the dashboard before they take effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the revised terms.
